Fort Victoria Foray...
The annual celebration for all the family of the Island's coast and cocuntryside was held at Fort Victoria Country Park, Yarmouth in August hosted by the IW Council.
Loads of exciting events were ongoing throughout the day including tree climbing, beach art, facepainting, bat and bird box making and printmaking to name but a few.
The Histree Trail Project ran a leaf printmaking activity where families could try printmaking using a selection of leaves. The challenge was to have a go at identifying which leaves they had chosen and whether or not they came from native trees found on the Island.
Ink was flying everywhere all day long and the trees around the activity soon became adorned with brightly coloured printed leaves fluttering in the wind!
