The first ever Histree Trail Taster Walk ....
A team of 8 met in Ryde on Saturday 2nd June to try out a version of a new leaflet for the first proposed Histree Trail around the Western Ryde area - entitled 'The Grand Oak Tree Trail'. The walk began in Playstreet Lane, covered a distance of about 4 miles down through Binstead and Quarr and back to Ryde.
(right) The participants used the leaflet to guide themselves around the trail and were invited to give feedback en-route and sto contribute any other suggestions and comments on the success of the leaflet were welcomed.

The weather was perfect and the event was a great success with many suggestions volunteered on ways to improve and new elements to include in the trail.
